A man wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat delayed a flying from Shanghai to New Jersey in May 2022 when he insisted that he deserved to have multiple seats and berated a female passenger, CBS News reported. He was asked to leave the aeroplane. The incident took on political overtones, a passenger told CBS.

Howard University
Two teenagers stirred up controversy in 2022 when they wore "Brand America Great Again" gear during a visit to Howard Academy, a historically black school, shortly after the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Buzzfeed reported. Ane student took one of the teen's hats, and the girls received critical comments.

'Safety Space'
Fordham University investigated in 2022 after a campus coffee shop volunteer told a grouping of "Make America Great Again" hat-wearers to remove their hats or leave the coffee shop for violating its "safe space" policy, The Washington Times reported.

On Mon, Rebecca Parker Mankey took pictures of a homo wearing a MAGA chapeau, and wrote in a Facebook mail service that she "chosen the entire Starbucks to order and yelled at him."
"He will never forget me and volition think seriously almost wearing that hat in my town ever once more," she wrote. "If you see him in this hat, please confront him. You practise not want to exist the person who didn't speak upwards equally we slipped into fascism."
Her Facebook post was widely shared and derided by conservatives, and her business relationship has since been deactivated.

A day later, Palo Alto music shop Gryphon Strings announced that Mankey had lost her job.
"Gryphon does non believe anyone should be harassed or subject to detest oral communication no matter their beliefs," the store wrote in a Tuesday Facebook post. "Music has historically been something that has brought people of diverse socio-political backgrounds together."
The man wearing the lid, identified merely equally Victor, told NBC Bay Area that Mankey chosen him a "Nazi" and tried to go other Starbucks customers to shame him.
"This woman comes over, and she says, 'Is that a Trump hat?' I said, 'I think information technology is, yes.' So she turned to the residue of the audience, the people in Starbucks and said, 'Hey, everybody! Come up over here! Let's get this guy! He's a hater! I'm calling him out! He hates brown people. He's a Nazi,'" Victor said.

In her Facebook post, Mankey wrote that Victor threatened to telephone call the cops, and said she encouraged him to practice so.
"[I] Wanted him to call the constabulary considering I wanted to know his name, where he lived, his wife's name, and where kids went to school," she wrote.
Mankey, who said she was "born and bred" in Palo Alto, told the Palo Alto Weekly that she and her family accept received death threats after the incident.
